New Harvest Church of God

After September 11, 2001, I began intentionally engaging in interreligious relationships with people of different backgrounds and ethnicities. I eventually did a PhD (London School of Theology, Middlesex University) in Systematic Theology on “Speaking by the Spirit: A Pentecostal Model of Interreligious Dialogue.” During that time I participated on the Interfaith Relations Commission of the National Council of Churches as a liaison from Society for Pentecostal Studies. I also worked with the World Council of Churches in the same field. My wife, our congregation, and I went through this journey together over the years. We grew together in the process. Gradually, New Harvest has become a congregation with a great deal of sensitivity regarding our multi-faith world. Within the last two years, our congregation has become more involved in a direct way, moving beyond merely supporting prayerfully my endeavors into actual congregational engagement.
